Science OR Religion vs. Science AND Religion?

Just a quick link to an interview with Dr. Francis Collins, who is the director of the National Institutes of Health Human Genome Project. As you probably know, the mapping of the full human genome was probably one of the most significant scientific discoveries of the last century, and one in which we are only just beginning to reap the benefits of. In response to the question "You have said that DNA is 'God's language...', Collins replies with the following:

I believe that the universe was created by God with the specific intention of giving rise to intelligent life. Given that we observe DNA to be the information molecule of all living things, one can regard therefore it as the “Logos” that God has used to speak life into being.
